My Foolproof Clear Skin Plan Revealed

Hello friend,

You’re probably here searching desperately for an answer to get clear skin overnight.  No matter what other websites or even your doctor may tell you, there is not some magic pill you can take to reverse your acne and wake up with a baby face tomorrow.

BUT, I can tell you what you can start doing right now today to get on the path to clear skin instead of an endless cycle of acne that keeps getting worse and not better no matter what you try.

You see, I am a woman in my early-thirties and I have fought a war against my own acne since I was 16.  I have had one of the most stubborn cases of acne doctors have ever come across, and I have spent over a decade and thousands to dollars looking for a cure.  I have tried natural methods.  I have tried prescription methods.  I have tried practically every popular method that has been on the market since the mid-90s- all those so called “cures” that seemed so easy and effective on everybody else.  I was disappointed time and time again.

My acne severely affected my confidence, my social life, and even my career.  I’m a musician, so I would cringe in fear about how my skin would look if I had a show, a photo shoot, or (heaven-forbid) a video shoot.  (Videos are hard to touch-up!)

If you are in misery searching desperately for clear skin overnight, I know exactly how you feel!

I am not an expert, I’m just a person like you with a TON of experience in this area.  And I want very much to tell you what I’ve learned and what can actually work for you too.

And you don’t need to read a thousand pages.  I’m going to sum it up for you in this one short article so you can get started now!  I have healed my own skin and you can too.

The first thing you need to understand is that your bad skin is just a symptom of deeper problems in your body.  If you’re still looking for that magic pill, you’re NEVER going to find it.  (Accept that now, and you’ll be better off!)

You have to be seriously committed to improving your overall health and that takes dedication and follow-through.  Some of this stuff seems so simple, it’s almost hard to believe it can be effective. But if you can abide by these simple guidelines, I PROMISE you will see results!  We’re going to attack from EVERY ANGLE.

Diet

Acne is caused by high levels of inflammation and acidity in your body.  You need to go on a low inflammation diet ASAP.  Dr. Perricone is kind of my hero and one of the only acne gurus out there whose methods actually work!  I learned how to eat a low inflammation diet from his book: The Acne Prescription.  It is available here.

BUT, I highly recommend going to see a chiropractor, or other natural health physician who can evaluate your overall health and recommend a course of treatment.  One of my issues was food allergies.  They can help you with that.  Other likely issues are leaky gut syndrome or yeast overgrowth.  You will get clear skin a lot faster if you treat these issues along side the low inflammation diet.

Quick start hints- foods that will help you see improvement right away are salmon, berries, cantaloupe, avocadoes, and pretty much any green leafy vegetable.  Load up on vegetables.  Eat as many as you can possibly stand!  Don’t eat sugar, fried foods, processed foods, and cut way down on carbs.  Avoid alcohol but if you drink, drink red wine.

Water

It seems so simple, but it’s so important.  Drink at least 60 oz. of water a day.  Spring water or purified water is best.  But if all you have is tap water, that’s better than nothing.  Go get yourself a glass right now.

Exercise

Acne and stress are highly related.  And your acne stresses you out and it’s a vicious cycle.  Even if you start with small walks around your block or some leg lifts in front of your TV at night.  Do something!  It helps you breathe and get more oxygen to your skin, and it helps relieve stress.  For the hardcore, try jumping on the Crossfit bandwagon.  It does wonders for acne.  But any kind of exercise is good.  Pick whatever you enjoy.

Sleep

Your skin can’t heal if you don’t get enough sleep to let it.  Seven hours a night minimum and stick to it.

Cleanse

Don’t pick at your skin and irritate it all day long.  Just deal with it twice a day.  I like Desert Essence face wash because it contains tea tree oil and actually soothes your skin and calms it down.  Plus it just feels clean.  It is available here.  Wash with warm (not hot) water but splash with cold at the end to close up your pores before you moisturize.

Exfoliate

You must get rid of excess skin cells to keep your pores from getting clogged.  I don’t like chemical exfoliants because my skin can’t handle the irritation.  So I like to do it manually with a Clarisonic face scrubber.  They are available here.  I recommend the sensitive skin brush.  Try this with your cleanser once a day.  (I do it in the shower.)  But switch to every other day if you notice irritation.

Moisturize

Dr. Perricone may have some new and improved product that I haven’t tried yet.  But I absolutely love his Advanced Face Firming Activator.  It is available here.  That’s always worked for me.  It prevents and reverses aging too so that is helpful!  It’s on the pricey side though, so if that doesn’t fit in your budget, try Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer.  When you need sunscreen I like the Aveeno Natural Protection Sunscreen Lotion.  Pretty much every other Sunscreen causes breakouts.

Spot Treat

Spot treat even your tiniest bumps with a spot treatment that contains sulfer.  Although I don’t like the rest of the Murad Acne line, I do like the Murad Acne Spot Treatment.  Do this once before bed.

Supplements

Dr. Perricone outlines what you should be taking in The Acne Prescription.  And you can try to track them down on your own.  I found that rather difficult.  So, I get them all at once in his Clear Skin Supplement packets.  They are available here.  You can see the ingredients and quantities on the sales page.  Money saving tip- after your skin clears up take them every other or every three days so they last longer.  They are pricey too, so if you can’t afford these, at the very least get an Essential Fatty Acid supplement.

Make-up

If you wear make-up, finding one that won’t make your face breakout can be a struggle.  The most natural thing you can put on your face that will actually cover up your blemishes is mineral make-up.  My favorite is Bare Minerals.  It is available here. I like the matte powder better than the original.

Hormone Management

If you are female, you most likely have hormone imbalances that are contributing to your bad skin.  Once I finally got my skin cleared up I still had minor breakouts during that time of the month.  There are natural methods to put your hormones back in balance.  But after a while of trying that stuff and seeing very little change, I bit the bullet and talked to my doctor about birth control pills.  This is not a decision that should be made lightly as they have many negative effects on your body and your overall health.  So definitely talk to your doctor and make sure they are right for you.  But they were helpful for me.  I like Beyaz because it is low dosage and didn’t make me feel sick like ones I had tried years before.  With the new healthcare laws, they are free in many cases and you can have them delivered every month.  But I would try everything else first and see if you still feel like they would be beneficial.

Other Tips

Make sure that anything that touches your face stays clean.  Change your pillowcases and towels every few days and use a natural detergent on all your bedding and towels.  Disinfect your cell phone daily.  Wash your make-up brushes every few days.  Tie your hair back off your face when you sleep.  Avoid leave-in hair treatments if you can.

Deal with emotional issues that may be affecting your overall health.  Laugh whenever possible.  Watch funny movies.  Hang out with people who make you feel good about yourself.  Do whatever you can to stay emotionally strong and confident.

Keep your teeth clean.  Floss and use a good toothbrush.  The health of your teeth is related to the health of your skin.

Final Thoughts

I know this is a lot but it seriously took all of these things to clear up my skin.  Maybe just changing a few things will work for you.  Don’t get overwhelmed and just focus on one small change at a time.  If you don’t do all of this perfectly, don’t stress and be nice to yourself.  Not only will all of these things clear up your skin, but they will make you healthier and happier overall.  So why not decide enough is enough and change your life today!  I believe in you.  Blessing!
